Help me with the exhaust
Ok so Im just starting work on my 06' and I figured I'd start with exhaust.
Im looking for an aggressive sound that sounds good on the street and at the track for this weekend warrior.
Been working all summer and I've got the budget up to about 1,300 bucks, I might be able to go a little higher, but please keep it civil.(that includes a shop for instalation)
Here's the kind of stuff I've been thinking of:
JBA axle backs/ off road H pipe/ long tube headers
MAC "boom tubes"/ catted x pipe/ shorty headers
(How does FR stuff sound?)
If you have any other cool sound clips then pleas, post them.
I Have been to the s197 sound clip thread, and ive been listening to clips for hours.
Also could someone provide some links to a good site to buy these things from
Thanks so much guys

RE: Help me with the exhaust
If you really want an O/R H or X pipe then get it first and see how you like the sound with the stock mufflers. Removing the cats makes it loud, so it might be unbearable with the jba axle backs. www.brenspeed.com sells and O/R H that you can install yourself if you have a jack and stands.

RE: Help me with the exhaust
@ drbobvs- like I said, I have been there for about 2 hrs befre starting this thread. Im just asking for opinions
@Haze- why do you say I should get the CAI and tune before I should get exhaust done?
@Moose- thanks for the reply I was thinking about maybe a catted basanni x. I want to try to get it all done at the same time,Eventhough I will probably end up following advice. Is the basanni a good choice?
Thanks for the replies, but keep em coming!!!

RE: Help me with the exhaust
I did look and I am really liking the Mac boom tubes.
the MACs with a catted x pipe and shorties is probably my favorite clip on there.
Question: are these the correct MAC boomtubes? http://www.lmperformance.com/5520/73.html

RE: Help me with the exhaust
I just put in my BBK long tubes, BBk o/r x-pipe, along w/ spintech pro street axle backs. all these exhaust mods make my 07 sound mean. the set up you want should sound similar, i heard the h-pipe will sound a little lower than the x-pipe. but if you're going to do exhaust go all the way.
