Default Ipod with shaker 500

Anyone know how to run an Ipod through the Shaker 500 without using an FM transmitter? The transmitter sucks, makes the Ipod sound crappy. Heard of a few companies with gizmos that hook up at the back of the radio but dont know their names.

The PIE unit works great as far as I'm concerned. Was a little tricky to find a good mounting place but I was able to modify the glovebox a little to get it where I wanted it. I've heard the FM modulators work well too but I had a good deal on the PIE so that's the way I went.

have it and love it. Charges the ipod and you control it through the deck.

since you have no sig we dont know what your car is or anything....if its an 07+ you have the built in feature....i am guessing you have a 05-06 and there is not any real good solution out there for the IPOD. Most of the interfaces are not that great but you might find some of them acceptable for your liking.

I use the PIE adapter, Like said above, if you have an 07 up, then all you need is a double ended headphone cord. If the peripheral unit was out when I dod mine, I would have gotten that one.

should you be able to control the ipod through the head unit if you plug it into the aux jack (07+ models)?
