CLEAN OUT YOUR THROTTLE BODY
so that problem i was having, well, i solved it, and i want to make a new thread about it because I believe it concerns all s197 GT owners should know this.
basically, the problem was that when i put in the clutch and coming to a stop, the revs would drop to about 500 then spring back up to idle. also, there were all kinds of issues with idle. more importantly though, the throttle would stick under moderate throttle and then open to where i had the pedal.
read this:

read the whole thread, beginning to end.
and apparently, tacobill is not just a legend on this forum.

Nope that is where taco started.....i had been following his writeups for quite a while over there and kept referring people to them before he joined us. He is legend to the entire mustang community. Doug isnt that shabby either!

Ok, well I guess I will clean out my Throttle Body ASAP. Dealer is last resort.
Besides putting stock shifter back in and putting my stock airbox and tune back on do you guys think I should put on my stock mufflers or do you think they won't care about the SLP's?

Havent had a chance to stop by Ford yet to pick one up.
I agree, if you want to know how to install something on our cars, there is no better source than the taco man.
