87 vs 93 octane
A lot people have asked about it and this isn'ta question, this is just my observation. I've been driving around on my 87 tune for the last few months averaging about 17-18mpg but I've been hearing of people averaging like 20 so I changed to the premium tune to see how much of a difference it makes in mileage and performance.
A while back AmericanMuscle4.6GT said he noticed the lower octane to be more torquier and I've noticed that seems to be true under mild load. The 87 feels easier to use for DD and cruising.
The 93 octane felt like I had to give a little more gas to get it going from a dead stop and under mild loads it had less torque. However yesterday I dropped it to a little past half-throttle at around 15mph and damn did she car feel like she could go,lol.
Just thought I'd share my thoughts/experiences.

RE: 87 vs 93 octane
good review thanks joe. from my experience, by far the
biggest difference, is between a stock vehicle and one that
has a cai + tune (+ 10% bhp).
IMO, the variations between different tunes, couldn't be much more
then 2 - 3 % (bhp)
