Default TC and Axles?

I was talking to a mechanic and he said if I installed the TCI street fighter in my 06 auto, that I should deeply consider replacing the axles... because after a few runs at the track, they will break. Is this true? current mods: lt headers, catted x, cat back, intake, delete plates, udps, steeda lowering springs, bama 93 oct tune, 3.73 gears, and the street fighter goes in this saturday.... new axles ???

+1 these axles can handle some SERIOUS power...even most heavy-breathing FI guys needn't lose sleep over thestrength of their stock 31-splines...

What kind of stall are you thinking of getting? I was told the stock axles will hold up just fine, i'm more worried about the tranny giving out after running hard at the track with a converter.

well, the stall is increased from 2 grand to 3 grand, and howarmat and s197richie, thanks for the feed back. i thought they would hold, because ive read people putting cams and chargers and not worrying at all about the axles.... and i wouldnt run the car much at all... literally once or twice a month (if that...)

Salesman BS. Got to love it. Anything for a bit more commission.

Dude, these aren't the crappy 28 spline axles from SN95s. Our 31 spline axles can handle some SERIOUS beatings.
