Do we know for sure they are coming out with a Boss 302 version? And will it be insanely priced like the Shelby GT ?

Well, it's been a very intense 2 days. My roomate taught me how to drive a stick with his pickup truck. The first night I practiced engaging first gear and worked up to shifting to second and even third. I was a little discouraged because it was sooo different at first. But then yesterday, he told me the only way to get experience is to just go for it, so I took the truck from park and drove it allllll around, no problems! What a rush, definitely much "funner." I feel very positive about getting a manual Stang now.

I actually found a torch red and an alloy metallic, both loaded. They're GT premiums, dark charcoal interior, GT appearance package, 18" polished rims, very hot. Plus, they are at the dealership that a friend of mine works at, so I feel pretty confident he would give me the best deal he could.

So, now I must wait to get my stinking car back from being fixed up, they're waiting on the instrument panel. Hurry up people!!!

Make sure you take your axle backs off, you'll just be throwing money away 'cause the trade-in of your '06 won't reflect what you paid for them(hopefully you still have the stock mufflers!), or, at worse, ask the dealership you get your '07 at if you could exchange mufflers(at their expense!) and have one less mod to do on your new car. Best of luck

I still have the stock mufflers so I was going to definitely switch them before trade in. Thanks!

Wow, so the dealer just gave me some of the numbers they worked out. They said that they would give me $18,000 for my 06 GT (keep in mind it has 14,000 miles on it). That number still seems extremely low. And, since I have about $6,000 left on my loan, that would put me down to $12,000 to put towards the 07. With whatever interest rate and such, he then said they could do me a new 07 for $350/month, for 60 months.

Those numbers seem to add up but holy heck, 5 more years of car payments??? Let's just say right now, I only have 24 moremonths of car payments at $265/month. Do you think I should try another dealer? Or maybe try selling my car to a private party. I would say it would be a terrible idea to go through a deal like that.

I don't know if you have one nearby, but try going to a CarMax to see what they would pay you for it. For me, they have been consistently higher than what the dealers will pay for your car (I have sold two vehicle there). Then you could make a cash offer for a new stang, which should be around or slightly less than invoice.

But you will definitely like driving a manual!

There not working w/ you... Thats a joke, its the end of the year; & the end of this gen of stangs(s197). Start shopping around, I've read plenty of storys on this forum about people trading there in for a newer one.

Sounds like they're selling you the car at MSRP. You should be able to get a new '07 for around $25-26K. They are screwing you on trade-in(I traded my '05 last year with 22K miles and got $20.5K). You should be able to get at least $21K with only 14K miles on it. With something in the neighborhood of $15K as your down and a selling price of $26K(for a loaded premium GT), you should be under $300/mo. Keep shopping IMO

Thanks for the help guys. I was very disappointed in that guy's offer. I've got a few other places in mind.

I wanted at least $22,000, cause seriously, the car is 1 year old!! I wouldn't believe that my car has dropped 10,000 dollars in a year. Time to hit the pavement, after work that is...
