CMP in Kershaw, SC. It is a 2.66 mile fairly level, 14 turn track. I am totally hooked on that type of driving.

Being in the novice class were you allowed to pass? Just curious about the rules. I would like to run a course in my Mustang but I would be afraid of running in traffic.

most clubs have very strict rules for passing. the club i run with the driver that is being passed has to do a point by. meaning point to the side he wants you to pass. the tcs will only come on if the you really lose traction and you would definately feel it.

Haha, glad you had a blast. Ive done our local road course a few times (3.5 miles 21 turns) and its sheer madness.
Gives you the chance to really see what the car is made of, and test its limits.
Passing is only done in the straights with a wave buy. You can see a few of those in my videos, I only let one guy go past becuase he was staying with me and making me a little nervous, but once he passed I stayed with him.
I was passing up Vettes, lotus' S2000's all kind of cars, I love it!

You may need new codecs/Divx to play in you media player, or VLC player, a free player, google it.

In car cams, I rigged the cam to my headrest

Outside footage, kind of boring imo

Yes, passing is only on a point-by basis. The car in front of you has to initiate the pass on the side of the direction of the next turn. It certainly is not full out racing but it is very close. I can't wait to get back.

Does anybody have coil over shocks? These I hear are the answer to the suspension.

wooohooooo! i was recently on VIR and it was more fun than i can describe.

TCS OFF OFF OFF. no reason to have it on. it also does its work without you knowing it at times. it was probably working while you were driving and you didn't even know it. you will learn to drive to the limit of your tire's adhesion only with it OFF.

look for NASA events in your area [www dot nasaracing dot net]. you can begin doing High Performance Driving Events [HPDEs] then Time Trials then get your competition license then . . .

not sure what you mean by "the answer to the suspension", but my .02 if you are going to continue doing track days is to WAIT. run just about everything STOCK until you have a hold on the car as it is. you will be a better driver in the end. stick with stock tires, suspension, etc. until you know the bounds of the car. you may decide you want to race in the Camaro Mustang Challenge or CMC2 or maybe even American Iron and then you can figure out what mods you want to do
