I have just my first road course experience. Wow! that is the most fun I have ever had driving any car. Driving the mustang all out through turns and straights is addictive as h%ll . I went with a 350 Z club I held my own in the novice class. Back to the TCS. I left this on during the weekend. I really did not know anything about it. The car hanled great and accelerated out of shiftsfine. I am not sure it kicked in but I was wondering if anyone had some track or fast driving experience with it off?
By the way, I took a lot of crap from the Z club memebers about my American made sports car. The Z cars had brake failures, clutches that stuck and overheating problems overthe weekend. One of the guys came up to me on Sunday and said, " don't let these guys give you any more crap about your Mustang because yours is the only car that did not need to be worked on". On top that, I out ran them!

You're fine with TCS for now but once you get a better feel for the car and can push its envelope you will probably push it to the point where it will want to engage and actually would hurt your track time.
Next time you get the opportunity really push it, You'll know when it kicks in and you won't like it. An experienced driver can outdrive the TCS on a track.
