410's, UDP, short throw shifter. the UDP should give a little more HP, and the SS shifter and gears should make more streetable use of the HP you got. if you are going to supercharge later, go with 3.73 gears.

man I've been going crazy trying to get my own questions about drag racing answered, I've been neglecting my duties as a fifth gear member to help others. For shame!
2 grand eh?
how about:

4.10s installed approx $750
rear u/lca's parts price approx $350
decent drag radials approx $380
basic NOS wet kit approx $600

this would have you or a goodbuddy wrenching the nitrous and ca's...if you'd rather sit inside and play forza 2 while someone else gets paid to get sweaty, you'd have to dump the nitrous and maybe getsome takeoff wheels so you can swap back and forth (yeah right...my pirellis haven't seen the road since I got my nittos and they'll disintegrate in the corner...I'm looking at them right now lol)...p.s. I guess I went a bit over 2K oh well budgets were meant to be dashed to pieces, right?

OP I don't want to sound insulting but this 2K is definitely a case of throwing good money after bad. The K&N CAI you have probably has the lowest hp gain of all the intakes. The shorties are notorious for a very low hp gain esp. considering the amount of labor time involved...the mufflers do nothing and the midpipe may yield a few ponies...the tuner would yield more with a better CAI...not to pick on you, I just found your "stage one" mod list a bit questionable. Oh well...I should talk, I have a K&N drop in sitting in the corner, and despite all advice from all sources, I originally ordered my xcal2 by itself, then decided to do the CAI after all, a week later (lost the combo savings on that one...DUH!)

I would save my money and go with the Vortech supercharger from brenspeed. Its about 4300 and would put you around 430-440 to the wheels. If not I would look into getting cams and some suspension. Also alot of people on here go with the C&L intake or the JLT. Check out brenspeed they have both of them for sale.

After that you need better traction by building up the suspension with anything from BMR or Spohn......JMO
ORIGINAL: howarmat

You need a better tune that what comes stock with the diablo, 4.10s a DS and suspension are good...tires probably would be good too.

There was a great article in a past issue of mustang monthly (I think that's the right mag), where they reviewed 8-10 CAI indepently installed them and tuned them, the article gave details on where or not the install was difficult, total hp and torque gain and what the cost of each was. I think you can find the article on line, I have been looking if I find it I will post it.
