I average 21-22, but my drive to work every 3rd day is about 25 miles with only a few lights.

As BillyBobJoe said, if you reset all of the variables and do the math after every fill up, it's within a few tenths. I'm getting 20-22 with a manual, no mods and mixed driving.

18.5 with half town and half highway driving. Seems to be pretty accurate too. Those who average 11 or 12 need to keep the right foot under control if they want better mileage. If not, b*lls to the wall and pay the pump.

I normally keep the cruise control set right at 100 and get 19.something to 20 mpg. I have a 60 mile trip to work everyday with no hills.

Imagine what kind of mileage you'd get if you set it at the speed limit![:-]

I've found the trip computer is accurate to about .1 or .2 MPG after I do the math.

Even with the computer, I still calculate my mpg at every fill-up (it's a 32+ year old habit, i guess). I typically drive my Stang about 90% highway and the computer says I'm getting ~24. My calcs say 22-23. I trust my calcs over the Stang's computer.
