how much life from clutch?
I was curious howmany miles most of you are getting out of your clutch. Ive only got 9800 miles on mine and i feel like its killing over on me.Usually when I go from a rolling start in 1st I can get going and then stand on the gas and she'll get loose but lately when i try to do it she just revs moves forward a little and then shell go. Also is there a way to look at the clutch and tell whether its still got life in it or not. thanks

I got my car last septmember I have 10k miles and the clutch feels like new to.. I don't drive too hard or peel out much, only once in a while. I dont know of anyway of checking to see how much life you'd have left on it

Another way todepress the clutch pedal, and start out in 1st gear on an uphill incline. If the engine revs and the car does not move, then the clutch is toast.

One way is to start the engine, depress the clutch pedal, place the tranny in 4th gear, press and hold down the brake pedal, and let out the clutch. If the engine stalls, then the clutch is probably ok. If the engine continues to run, then the clutch is toast.
