Default Anyone with Brenspeed xcal tune have problems with emission test?

I live in NC and went to get inspection today and had this problem. Has too many unset(not ready) readiness codes. Catalyst, O2 sensor and O2 sensor heater. Anyone have this problem? Do I need to back stock to pass inspection? Inspector said drive 40-50 miles and come back.

I talked to Seth at Brenspeed and I have to go back to stock for emission test in NC.

this just doesn't seem right......you would think
brenspeed could give you an 87 octane tune,
designed to pass emmisions.....

you may want to call vmp, b am a or any other
tuners, to ask for such a tune.....

i believe the issue is that brenspeed turns off the rear o2 sensors for aftermarket exhausts. this will fail most state emissions tests.

Yes they did turn off the rear O2 sensors, that is why I have to go back to the stock tune.

Go into the SCT tuner, change rear "02 sensor off", to "rear 02 sensor on" drive about 50 miles, and your good to go.

will rear 02 sensors "on" hurt performance?

I'm curious on this as well!
Also, does going back to stock tune mean I have to put the old airbox back in?

Thanks

No performance difference, you stock airbox on.

XCal2 doesnt allow for shutting the sensors on/off....you can have brenspeed email a different turn with them on though.
