Default Still looking for the whipple???

No one seems to want to sell me the non-intercooled whipple for a decent price. I could buy the intercooled kit, sell off all the extra crap and still come out ahead.[:@]

Paul's getting upset!

I ordered it today, but had to cancel the order because the price wasn't correct.

Default RE: Still looking for the whipple???

by the way, i was toldwhipple (correction: Ford racing)increased their price, so I sent whipple an email.

I just placed an order from one of your distributor. They quickly changed the price on their website and on my pending order. I was told whipple increased their price just last week and they had not updated their pricing. Of course I canceled my order because something didn't smell right. If you increased your price then my wife thanks you greatly!Cheers

Is there even a difference between the ford racing kit and whipple kit?

I think I am going to get the HO kit, but i'm not planning 500hp at the crank or the wheels. If my car was just a weekend warrior then I wouldn't hesitate. I can't risk loosing the engine on my daily driver.

I guess you're referring to the intercooler stuff as Crap? LOL

I'm no prophet, but here's what'll happen -

You buy the non intercooled Whipple and within a week you'll be complaining of unexplained power loss in Hot weather or after 'getting on it' when the OBC pulls the spark back to reduce intake temps.

Don't be a tight wad, buy the real deal the first time round and save yourself the hassle, seriously

I believe they are the same kits entirely. My Whipple came direct from the Whipple plant and had Ford stickers on it.

Why do you have 60lb injectors?

The instructions in the Whipple package advise changing the fuel pump out for a GT500 item. In my installers experience (Lidio, Alternative Auto), that isn't necessary if you go with the 60lb injectors instead. Additionally, they are also a good thing to have in place ready for pulley swaps if desired.
Swings & roundabouts I guess.

I'm pretty sure blackhorse's saleen is cooled twice and he's still complaining of power loss.

So you are using the stock pump with 60lb injectors?
