I would go to full synthetic after about 10000 miles to unsure that that all the parts have had a good run in time, I changed my oil very 2500 with full synthetic. The first oil changes were done by the factory at 500 than 1200 than I changed it at 2500, with the ford oil, than at 10000 switch to full Mobil one oil 5W-20, you should not use any other oil wait other than 5w20 on the gt motor, because it use oil and the wait to run the timing chains tensor. And I would never go over 3000 miles on any oil I don’t care what it is.

Mobil1 is not longer classified as GroupIV. It moved to Group III. Technically its not "fully" synthetic anymore, but its still good stuff and i still use it. M1 denies it but many oil sites have said otherwise.

I've heard many reviews of RP being breaking down too soon for a synthetic. I've always thought it did also when i used it compared to M1. Then comes to find out that RP was responsible for a lot of turbo seal failures.

I stick with Amsoil and M1 only now. M1 synthetic oil filter is also pretty good.

the sooner you change to synthetic the better, that way you don't have to flush the dirty oil out. I'm going to change on my firts change at 3000 miles.

will I am going to tell you what my install said because I asked the same question after I had my SC installed. He said that if you are running a high grade oil, and have it changed on a regular basis 3k t0 5k with no mod there is no reason to run anything but the standard oil.Withe my mod I am running valveoline racing oil and will have it changed every 1500 to 2000 miles.
