will the stock tranny hold up with a saleen supercharger but i kno im gonna have to get a betterh clutch
I have a completely stock Mustang GT with MAC mufflers anda Vortech SC making 504 hp to the crank and 438 going to the wheels. So far the stock everything has held up after almost 5,000 miles of mixed driving, street racing and drag racing. The car has 10,400 miles on it and while I know the stock clutch can only handle so much it takes everything I have dished out thus far. As for the transmission it can handle the abuse just fine and is worlds better than the T-5.

I have the stock shifter as well, it hits the gate everytime and powershifts no problem. I think my numbers speak for themselves considering the car has no suspension work, it has run a best of 1.72 short time.

Good luck!

with a vortech you don't have the boost down low so of coarse you clutch is going to hold. this guy will need a new clutch soon. mine held for a few days, then the whole thing blew. but if you are getting enough and you can pay the car off, then please pay it off. you'll be happier in the end. trust me

More important than the boost is the torque, he only has 380 ft lbs. Torque is the clutch killer and once it starts slipping it will go fast. I'm expecting my clutch to start slipping after my first WOT run, if it does then i'll have to baby it until january when I can take vacation again to change it.
