Default Xcalibrator 1 for Kenne Bell SC

Hello All,

I have an XCalibrator programmer provided by Kenne Bell with Factory, P1 (8PSI) andP2 (10PSI) tune programs.

I was thinking on moving forward with a LiveWire or XCalibrator 2 in order to have more info, code reading and cleanning, etc.

Is there anyone overthere that knows if it is possible to migrate in some way through a PC or something the current programs on my XCalibrator and transfer them to an XCalibrator2 or LiveWire?

Beside the above, I am insterested on backing up the current programs just in case, we never know... any ideas?

Best Regards.

i do not believe you can transfer (upload) atune(s) from
your SCT Xcal2 device, to a PC. You can only download
tune(s) from the PC to the device.

I think that the only difference in the KB tune is the spark advance, The PSI in changed by the pully size not the tune.

Thank you, I agree with you about the PSI directly related to the pulley change.

As I said, I am really interested on determine if there is a way to back up the current xcalibrator programs, or a way to transfer them to a newer Xcalibrator tool with code readings, etc.

Best Regards.

You really should have that dyno tuned to get the most out of the KB.....it would be safer too. You can then have that tune loaded on the XCal2 for you also.

I just loaded the KB tune via the supplied xcal1 and also have similar thoughts. I have a xcal2 and was wondering ifI can alter the tune loaded to the car via the xcal 1 using my xcal 2 by hooking up the xcal 2 to my car and adjusting the paramters? My thought would be that the xcal 2 would load the KB tune xcal 1 tune as the new stock tune on the xcal 2.

Have not been brave enought to try it. Just a thought

You'll need to get a new custom tune for your KB setup, if you geta LW or X2. The files can not be pulled off the X1.

I was thinking the same. I know Diablo saves the original backup when you first use it. Why would this be any different if you already have a new tune loaded into the PCM?

it wouldn't be any different.

if you use an Xcal2 to save the
pcm tune (stock or custom doesn't matter) it will be saved, but
you still won't be able to MOVE that tune from the device to
a pc.....

Diablo would allow for this, but SCT doesnt allow users to save tunes to a PC from the device
