Cooling System Upgrade

RE: Cooling System Upgrade
If you dont have an intercooler, i'd start with that...but seeming as you have the Saleen 475 system, im sure you already have it.
Other than that, you can change the rad out for a lightweight aluminum one, but the difference wont be that beneficial. I'd recommend the electric water pump, it'll keep the engine cycling coolant at every speed...
Other than that, im all out of ideas...the cooling system is strong, just keep on top of your flushes...dont want the PH level to change...

If we're talking about radiators and not intercoolers, look up Fluidyne, they make aluminum race radiators and I recall they recently released one for the S197. I had a Fluidyne in my 328 to upgrade the lousy plastic radiator in that car and was quite pleased with it.

like i said in my pm. its reaaly not needed at this point. yea a alum rad would be nice. they sayyoull loose weight. but its a bigger rad so more fliud. a wate pump is available. but i would not recomend that unless you are only going to make this a track car. im sure some people run them but if it dies. so does your motor. as for heat, i would say just get a biiger resevoir for the s/c i/c and a little bit for the motor. keep them at the proper levels and ou should be good.
as for the radiator. if you were to get functional hood, then a rad would be awesome, but your stock would still be sufficient. if you look at the gt500. you notice how the vents are at the front of the car. well at high speeds those vents are taking hot air out while pulling air through the rad, thats why thier at the front. is kind of streamlined if you think about it. that is a fuctional set up, and thats why i want a hood with vents in the front.
