Default X pipe on stock mufflers

Thinking about picking up an FRPP X pipe and sticking it on with the stock GT mufflers.

Anyone ever heard this setup or know of a sound clip I can hear?

i ran this set up for a while. i was trying diff muff set ups. i would get a new muff and stick it on for a few days, and then take it off and buy another do and do it all over again. in between getting new muff a would put stock muffs back on. i had o/r x and i love the way it sounded with the stock muffs. it sounds good and then at wot it is impressive for what it is. hope this helps tom

I'm considering sticking with the stock mufflers also..........although I'm planning on doing some LT's on top of the midpipe. From everything I've seen and heard the stockers flow just as well as many of the other chambered mufflers on the market.........it's only the sound that changes. I'm trying to avoid an overly loud setup, and I love the resonance of the stock mufflers better than most of the aftermarket ones I've heard to date.

Thanks guys... Thats kinda where I am heading eventually... LT's are in the plans down the line.

I have some hearing loss from when I was in the Corpsand am over protective of the hearing I have, so louder is definately out for me. I like the sound level of the stock mufflers, especially since there is no HP to gain from getting rid of them I want to keep them. I guess I'm just trying to make the exhaust note a bit ... different... than stock I guess. Something that when someone hears they say "This guy is clearly not stock... better not try anything..." Geting tired of getting Revved at every third light while my buddy with an 05 with nothing but a set of Stingers barely gets looked at...

Tom, if ya don't mind me asking... what exhausts did you try and what did you think of them?Kinda looking for something thats just sounds mean than stock, but with no drone and not too much louder... and Corsa's are just way out of what I can afford in the near future..

changing th midpipe to the FRPP x will incrase the volume a little.....LTs will also make it noticably louder....
