kenne bell problem
hi, I recently got a kenne bell 2.6 supercharger installed on my 05 mustang and when I got it back the exhaust would pop when I hit the gas. So I took it back a second time and turns out the intercooler hose had a hole in it so they replaced it. When I picked it up the second time it would still pop at low rpm (2500). I called kenne bell and they I should put some autolite HT spark plugs on it and see if that helps but when I did it really made it worst. Please help.

RE: kenne bell problem
HT what??? You should be running HT0's with the KB not HT1's. What you described sure sounds like a fouled plug(s) to me. You sure you changed them all to HT0's?...
Hammeron is correct - try a .032 gap. If it persists, also check your 02 sensors. A bad one of those would also cause the same thing.

To my knowledge the autolite HT1 and HTO's are the ONLY spark plug for the S197. The FRPP ones are just the autolites with a pretty name and more expensive price tag.
I'm pretty sure Brisk doesn't have a plug that will work for the S197?
I don't suppose you'd have a part number if I'm wrong, do you?

RE: kenne bell problem
Yah Brisk has a plug for S197. I screwed up and had a set installed when I went to a 125 shot. I had a plug that was faulty and dead holed my engine. The Director of North American Sales came and looked at it. He said the anode just evaporated. The only problem is that the material is 95% Silver and 5% chromium alloy. It would take a considerable temperature (1800 degrees or more to melt that combination depending on the exact metalurgy) let alone vaporize it. I believe I would have to call BS on that.

Sound like spark blow-out. Change to HT0 plugs and gap them down to .032

I will add that I was not able to disprove what he said, nor was I able to prove my theory.I am only stating what happened to me. After Bore scoping and compression testing the shop determined that there was no real damage to the cylinder in question.
Ithought for a moment I was gonna have a reason to get a new rotating assembly!
