ok so, im bummed about my stang. i cant get over the fact the v8 is only .6 liters bigger than the six. and its still a whole liter smaller than chevys base v8. Our stangs are gonna get smokechecked when chevy re-releases its sportscars. I dunno, just feel like ford is losing its marbles. i mean a 4.6l v8? these import 3.0 liter sixes are making 280ish HP, why cant an american v8 make so much more? Like the six liter V8, i dunno, maybe buying the stang was a mistake. Shoulda waited for the camaro or challenger to come out

So you're basicly bummed about numbers??? Get over it dude. If any 3.0 liter motor of any kind is giving you hassle naturally aspirated, then there's something wrong with your car.

Sounds like you should have bought a GTO instead.........

im bummed about ford being satisfied with grouping itself with cars with small engines, i like the sound big engines make, i like the power big engines make. I shouldnt have to rev it to the moon to make torque. Why does ford only offer a 5.4L engine in a 50,000 dollar car? a 5.4L standard V8 making 350 RWHP should be stock. not a pathetic 4.6l making 260 RWHP

I got news for you, if Ford puts that bigass heavy 5.4 into a mustang and it only turns out 350rwhp...........I'll be pissed. They can work those rwhp numbers out of a next gen 32V 5.0 with ease......if they wanted to. Bottom line.......it's a buyers market. You don't like what they're selling......buy something else. There's always something bigger and better around the corner. You have to learn to find some satisfaction with what you have at some point.

I didn't think 300bhp was enough for me...............hence the 2.3 liter twin screw.

You're also forgetting how cheap these cars are as opposed to what the Camaro will cost. They can't even come out with a 6 cylinder Camaro because it will be more expensive than a GT. Does that say anything to you at all or are you a 10 year old kid that doesn't understand the terminology of a business that tries to make an AFFORDABLE sports car.

You want more power, then by a supercharger and stop whining. It's still cheaper than a GTO.

I love my car, 300 hp, 25mpg all for under $30,000 and it looks like a muscle car, can't really say that about the Charger or GTO both are over 30k and neither look the part!

don't get depressed about numbers. they are only digits on a piece of paper. are you worried about numbers or do you care more about ET's, style, sound, looks, price. if you want numbers, supercharge. I love my GT. I'm getting it ready for when those camaros and challengers come out. when they do i'll be ready. there's more to a car than just HP and torque. if that's what i wanted then i would have got a vette. but i wanted a mustang gt, and that's what i got. and now i'm gonna make it better than any stock GM car, i don't care what it takes....eventually SC, cam, heads, it's neverending and that's how it's suppost to be.

yeah i suppose ur right, its never ending, and my wallet is killing me for it! Ive had the car for 3000 miles and already have most of the bolt ons ordered or in my hands. Just not on the car yet (this weekend!) I cant wait to do heads/cams, and a stroker kit, then slap a big ol KB 2.8L S/C on it. Boy im gonna be in debt!!! that should take care of just about every car GM can put out

once you get those mods on and drive your car,you're gonna be a whole new ball game. I just ran against a Z-O6 on the freeway earlier today and he blew me away. just made me want that SC RIGHT NOW!
