Default $8000 to spend !

I'm planning on selling my house soon so I think I'm gonna put 8000 into my '06 gt. As well as paying it off. Right now it's bone stock. I like some idea on engine/ suspension mods that will give me the most bang for the buck. I'd also like to get an idea on the labor cost as well.

KB or whippleSC, most bang but a lot of bucks, but with 8 g's it's doable.

I'd go with a livernois built stroker motor, with forged internals and full suspension and next year get the F/I you need... or get the built shortblock and run a 300 shotofnitrous[sm=badbadbad.gif]

Just about everything on my list you can install yourself minus the gears. I don't recommend anyone but pros doing gears... The Whipple kit is hands down the most difficult on the list but very doable. If you have a friend who knows cars and will work for beer, than helping him would be the best bet if you're not comfortable.

Otherwise, buy the whipple kit from a shop who you want to install in exchange for a great price on the install...

As far as the dollars for parts go, maybe not on the money, but in the ballpark.

Most guys are probably never going to want their car to be over 500 rwhp for everyday street driving so I think a built motor is overkill and unneccessary for most people...

Ham, that is one of the best mods I did on my manual. By itself, it really doesn't do much, but if you are a serious powershifter like me, than it is a MUST. Even with the best shifter, I was not able to bang the gears without the che brace...
