borlas are the bullet muffler equivalent of mac's. macs are loud, they are deep, and overall just sound fantastic. there is drone; it's not for the meek.

I have the borlas (FRPP version). I love them!! There is a little bit of drone at about 1800 rpm but it's worth it. I can avoid that rpm range. I'd reccomend the borlas to anyone!

I just hope it's not stupid obnoxious and pisses of the neighborhood everytime I start it up. Ah well, they'll get used to it[8D]

if you can handle a bit of noise (if you have a pair of *********) then your gonna love it. my friend (Norse1974) has them with an offroad x pipe and i think the noise is definitley manageable. at WOT it sounds so ****ing mean, i can't even describe it. its incredibly intimidating, screaming and roaring.

with an offroad x pipe, though, theres some crackling and rattling noises. sounds kind of nasty, but still deep and mean. just not a very clean sound. but if you want your car to sound like a 550 HP monster, its offroad x and mac's for you.

I had MACs installed for a brief time as well. The drone was untolerable and everyone would literally exit the car feeling ill after a 2 hour cruise. I've heard that perhaps the auto keeps them in the most droney RPM, however there wasn't really any point in which I was happy with them. They sounded great in terms of tone. I have since gone to SLP Powerflos. They are still loud, sound awesome, and have little to no drone. Also, the 4" tips and overall quality is very nice.
