They are flat out lying. Anyone who knows anything about turbos will tell you that there is no way any 62mm is running at top effieciency at 18 psi. It 'CAN' run up to 18 psi but I would bet the HP gain between 13 psi and 18 psi is less then 50. Perhaps MUCH less. No way it's efficent at those levels - it's just too small.
I'll give you an example. When I had a Precision 67mm I made exactly 14 more HP at 16 psi than I did at 14 psi. It just ran out of gas..period. Big boost requires a BIG turbo, or twins...just the way it is.
I think you may be able to MAX out somewhere in the 600 rwhp range on a 62mm but that would take some aggressive tuning to even come close. Nah, I don't care what they say, the 62mm is most efficent at 9-10 psi and good for 550'ish max power on a safe tune IMO.
