Default vortech vs paxton vs procharger, diferences?

I'm trying to figure out whether or not there is any real difference between these two?

As far as I know the supercharger itself is the same unit.

The only difference I can see is that they have different methods of charge cooling.

The ProCharger seems to have some major dfferences in plumbing and looks more efficient.

well i have the procharger unit and i chose it because the way the piping runs in the car looks to flow alot better and with the vortec it runs into the wheel well and i dont like that. the procharger is also a self contained head unit which i like alot more

I don't see anywhere about carb approval for the procharger?

The paxton and the vortech are nice and legal...

The biggest and most noticeable difference is the vortech and paxton are watercooled and the procharger is air to air cooled. The air to air cooling is what makes the procharger very difficult for driveability with bigger psi levels.

The paxton is also air to air intercooled, not watercooled. If you like the whine them procharger is for you. Paxton and vortech are pretty quite.

Procharger is still applying for the CARB deal.

Fordfanboy why would it be difficult to drive a high psi car with a air to air intercooler?

I thought the paxton was water cooled as well? Oh well.

I didn't say it would be harder to drive. I said it is difficult to get driveability down with the air to air cooled FI kits. They run too hot when big boost is used for everyday driving IMO. Of all of the problems I have seen on mustangs with big boost for the past ten years, the vast majority have been with air to air set-ups that I have seen.

Yes, the Paxton is air-to-air cooled. I can't say much about the Prochargers or Votec but my Paxton set-up has been awesome. I've heard good things on all of them though.
