best muscle car sound for 2005 GT?

I've got a stock 2005 mustang, absolutely love it, but I wanna do some upgrades. Intake is a must and so is an exhaust, but what can I do to make it sound most like the 68 Bullitt GT 390 exhaust-wise? (I know that was a GT 40, but theres gotta be something close). If not the bullitt, I just want a total classic muscle car sound, and I also just dont want annoying volume, any suggestions? Also, any suggestion on best air intake?

Magnaflow will give you a deep rumble without the annoying drone at cruising speed. It's civilized driving around, but loud at WOT.

yeah, im definitely liking that a lot, its got quality, not just volume. id like it to be loud when it needs to be, but if i go on long trips, i dont want my head to pulse after 3 hours. i was thinking between flowmaster and slp loudpipes, but i guess its now between magnaflow and flowmaster. what model magnaflow do you think?

either magnaflow, borla, slp, and corsa are my faves, but i still think borla is the best so far

If you are interested in SLP's, mine are for sale. I think they are the best sounding AxleBack if you plan to leave the rest of the exhaust as is. I have an O/R H Pipe waiting at home, and the SLP's are going to be too loud, which is why I am selling them.

Lemme know if you're interested. They have about 2,000 miles on them, like-new condition. I will be taking them off on Saturday. I'm looking to get $215, buyer pays shipping. Pick-up if you live in NYC. They retail for about $340.

I have the SLP Loudmouths with no other mods on my 07 and absolutely love them. They sound like a classic muscle car to me.

You of course can just send them back, and buy mine... you'll just have to wait a little longer

i wouldnt mind loudmouths, but this is my primary car, so i kinda want something that wont give me a headache after 3 hrs of driving, which im afraid the loudmouths would do. i mean, you experienced it firsthand inside the car, how is it volume-wise? by the way, cheers to everyone who has a black mustang gt here, best ones around haha

Black is faster than the speed of color lol.

IMO the SLP's are not loud at all... I actually would prefer a little louder. At cruising and highway speeds, there is no drone, so its very quiet. But mash the pedal and they scream like they're supposed to.
