I went to Cedar Point this weekend and managed 26mpg on the way home doing between 80-90 the whole way.
SANDUSKY!! Man I miss that place. I haven't been there since 2000.

They just opened up a new ride there, the Maverick. I think its better than the Raptor which was my previous favorite all-around roller coaster. Of coarse theres nothing like going 0-120 in 4 seconds then up to 500ft on the Top Thrill Dragster.

If you're basing that on the car's computer, then it's probably being conservative.

LOL, I'm sure. Just while sitting at the light outside my house on the way to work, the mileage computer dropped for 25.4 to 24.9. Its a pretty long light. By the time I actually got on the freeway I was down to 24.0. Coming back to work I got back up to 25.0, but then I decided to stomp it for a mile (which was cut short due to my hood flying up) and by the time I got off the freeway I was down to 23 something. Its funny what 10 seconds of pleasure to do to the mileage.

I've found an increase in my economy eversince putting a stopper on my throttle pedal to reduce the dead space in the pedal. Seems to keep me from playing around with how hard I need to press it to maintain speed.

(if this makes sense lol)
Did you make it yourself or did you buy it somewhere? I'm very interested but don't know a lot about cars, could you elaborate.

I was getting about 25mpg btw home and Austin last fall - over 200 miles oneway- made about 5 round trips over two months - I calculated by filling the tank and then calculating mileage from amount filled against miles driven. I got as high as 27.5mpg and as low as 22mpg, but the average was around 25...the info from the car computer was different by about -2 to -.5mpg generally.

In town I have been getting a pretty consistent 18.5mpg for two years now.

Oh, and I get btw 6-9mpg over the 3.1mile track at MSR-Cresson (average speed 71mph)
