Blown Motor

RE: Blown Motor
That is jdback19's car. No telling what he did to it. He was driving it around after the install with the cmcv plug disconnected. He probably upped the boost and didn't have enough fuel.

No insurance in the world will pay for that. He didn't hit anything to cause the damage, and it wasn't vandalized by anyone but his daddy (according to one response.) But he didn't sound too pissed so I guess he's got the ducketts to get a new engine. But insurance aint givin' him a dime unless he lies about how it happens and they believe him. Even then the adjuster will have to be an idiot to not figure it out.

Regardless running boost and 450RWHP+ can throw a rod....thats my point and notice he went forged! Yet another point I was making...

He said it was after his old man put 87 octane in the car (another thread). Detonation blew it apart. Don't blame the turbo.

Why would anyone not get a forged block when it costs practically the same. Actually I'm not sure you can even buy just a new block from ford, you'd have to buy a whole new engine. You don't need 450rwhp to throw a rod so i don't really see your point. I blame this failure on the installer/operator.
