I know that o/r H or X pipes are pretty cheap but anyone have any opinions or experiences on gutting their cats?...Any O2 sensor issues??

I had a friend that gutted his cats and they burnt up...I would just go with the o/r pipe and be safe

I gutted mine, and its so damn raspy...the chamber in the cats is much worse than an offroad pipe, cause it lets it echo inside there too...ugh. I gotta find some more cats.

I heard the stock h-pipe is something stupid like $1200 form Ford. Make it easy on yourself and spend the $150 or so on an off-road pipe and then you can switch back if you don't like it.

In a year or so, I may have an off-road h-pipe for sale. It came from Brenspeed with a 4-inch welded area on one of the bends like it split when they bent it and then welded it up. It was packaged up like that so no way Brenspeed could have known but Pypes did. Either way, it works just fine...but I plan on getting LTs with a catted H-pipe and cutouts in a year or so. When I do that, I'll have no need for the off-road H. It looks like you're shooting for shorter term though haha. Keep the stock pipe stock and buy a new off-road mid-pipe.
