Is this correct and what is it based on (why not 150?)? Can that be disabled with any of the tuners or is it mechanical?

RE: our cars go TOO fast!!
I have a bama tune but I have redlined 4th before and saw 140's indicated. I beleive these cars are drag limited to about 145-150mph. While stunning the design is not the most aerodynamic. No reason to shift to 5th for top speed runs as it is an overdrive for highway, never done it but I assume you would actually go slower in 5th than 4th, but maybe not.
Read an article about a guy running close to 800hp on his stang. Think they said it should be capable of about 215mph. If you get MM&FF it was a month or 2 ago and the car was red and white.
I have done topspeed runs on every vehicle I have owned once or twice just to see what it would do, here is a list off the top of my head of my last couple vehicle. All the numbers are indicated on the speedo since I dont have GPS to verify. So figure a couple mph slower in reality.
86 grand marquis - 105mph
99 Saturn SL1 - 120mph
2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee - 135mph
99 Mustang GT auto w/ CAI - 150mph
92 honda CBR 600 - 167mph
2005 Honda Accord (4 cyl) - 130 mph
2002 Yamaha R1 - 187mph
2007 Mustang GT - 145mph
Before I die I want to be in the 200mph club. Current plan is to buy a Busa put an extended swing arm, change the gearing, and a 75-100 shot of nitrous. They run at Maxton like twice a year and I figure I could do it for under $12k when the time comes. Should be fun.
