Do you think you will ever up the boost to 10psi? Do you also run an air/fuel guage?

That's an easy decision IMO.

I know how you feel, With my stock 17" tires I do the same if I press the gas to hard at lower speeds, it's not really fun. I'm trying to decide to do headers and hpipe for more speed, or tires and wheels for safety.Hard decision..

which brenspeed package did you take? Just installed mine today and it freakin rips, gives me the shakes a little, I went with level three, worried about going higher, want my car to hold up. went sideways a couple times and almost had to go change.

RE: Saleen Blower
how do these cars hold up with 10 pounds of boost? also should I have a different tune for 4400' elevation, rather than what brenspeed would have sent me? seems like a tiny bit of backfire around 5800 to 6200 rpm.

Second - I would go have that tiny bit of backfire checked by a reputable tuner immediately. Car should be absolutely smooth right up to the redline.

+1.....sounds like you're leaning out at high rpm's and getting detonation.

RE: Saleen Blower
its not about how much boost you're running, its how much HP that limits the motor. you could be pushing 18psi at 350whp and still be fine. psi is just a measure of air restriction, not engine's limit.
