RE: Yes, yet another S/C question..or questions..
07SCGT what are your thought on the new clutch and flywheel? I am interested in the same one and figure I should change the flywheel while it is accessed. Thanks and sorry for the Hi-jack......J

I have to disagree with you on this one Sactown. I just installed the spec 3+ super twin on Friday and they didn't have to drop my motor, in fact they only charged me the book time of 5 hours to install it along with the flywheel. Unfortunately/fortunately it only took the stealership 3.5 hours to do the install so they of course still charged me the 5 hours of labor.
I kept my stock clutch/flywheel and it had 1K blower miles on it, lets just say the flywheel was warped and a deep powder coated blue (heat treated I guess LOL). I'll post pics of it this weekend, but I was amazed at how bad the flywheel really was with the low miles it had.

that is a yes and no question.. There are 2 reasons first with the additional HP from the SC the stock clutch will not last as long, particularly if you are like myself and make a trip to the track twice a month (sometimes more), but the other reason is that with the Saleen SC you must drop the motor to the change the clutch, because the Saleen SC almost hits the firewall on the GT's, without dropping the motor you can't tilt the motor to remove the tranny, so it cost a considerable amount more to change the clutch after the SC install than before the install because of the time it takes to drop the motor. It is not necessary but a good idea.
