Just got my VMP tune, great stuff! Stronger bottom-end than my Brenspeed tune, and doesn't ping like my Bama tune did (even after a couple of updates from Doug). But every car will react slightly differently to a tune.

The C&L Racer will give you more air IF you do some other mods that demand more airflow. Otherwise, ANY of the CAI choices will net you equivalent HP gains. But it's the tune that makes the difference in HP, not the CAI. I just placed my order for the Steeda kit from Brenspeed only because I like it's looks over the others, no other reason.

i really was set on getting vmp's sct livewire and c&l racer intake but 06saleen3v said the intake was to much air flow for the so little mods i have but i know i want sct tuner and c&l intake i need some opinions on what to get i am oredering in the next two weeks and im trying to find out if the brenspeed combo sct/c&l is the street intake or not but then im only gonna get the x cal2 someone please help me find the best set up im looking to spend no more then 750 dollars

i think im gonna go vmp i really want a sct live wire im stuck on it anyone ordered from lethal performance?they got the livewire with the street C&L and u can pay extra to get the vmp tune its 50 extra that will put the package at 930 or so

The racer intake is fine if that's the package you wanted to get. You'll save some money if you get that package from VMP as you were originally planning to do. C&L I believe had a whole page comparing racer vs street, it's on their site somewhere, and the difference in power between the two was basically noise. The larger MAF housing won't hurt you, and the racer looks a lot better IMHO.

just got a C&L CAI with the xCAL II and LOVE IT brenspeed is AMAZING with their tunes the 93 octane they sent me gave me a 27HP!!!! boost over stock with 87, and it feels like a LOT more the pin u to ur seat power is great.

I have the C&L Racer intake with a SCT XCAL-2 tuner from Brenspeed and cant believe the performance.
I am dropping my car off this morning to get my 373 Ford Racing gears installed and plan on having the car don't also.
I was amazed as to the performance gains just with the CAI and tune and I'm sure I will be blown away after picking the car up after the gear install.
I went with the racer intake as I plan on doing a lot of engine mods over the winter....udp's, delete plates, throttle body. long tube headers and off road h pipe to name a few.
good luck with your decision, you cant go wrong with any of the intakes listed as long as you get a good tune
