Anyone have aftermarket motor and what's the experiences? I know a few on this forum have custom built ones and 1 or 2 I think have Livernois builds. My question I guess, is what's a reliable motor that will put down 600-650 RWHP (with a S/C) for adaily driver. I have all the mods to supportthe motor, (driveshaft, clutch, flyweel, tires, posi, and ordering a 6 speed tremec tranny,etc etc).

for the money .... i'd get a terminator engine or GT500 engine, even the termi engine is good for 850+ rwhp

A built MMR shortblock would get you to that level. I think they want 2799.00 with an iron block and an extra 600.00 for an aluminum block. I think this is the direction I will go once mine goes pop.

i think that if i wouldn't forged and built my engine i would jut go for the gt500 and thats 15k and since i know thats not going to happen i rather just built and supercharge mine. you already have a supercharger on, if i would be you i would forged the bottom end and do ported heads then cams, then you just need to worry about putting the hp to the ground

I have called some shops around Arizona and they all said that the gt500 engine won't fit the Saleen blower that I already have. Basically the valley is wider and the blower won't fit. That was my first option too.

I am seriously thinking about the livernois shortblockmotor but just want some personal feedback fromn those that have that setup and any issues they encountered.

Man that's 2 days in a row you helped me out. Yesterday was the airbags and today the motor. I think I owe you a lunch and beer or something.

I'll call them tomorrow when they open, BTW I am still trying to find a dealer for the airbags that's within 100 miles of La Mesa. I called 4 dealers yesterday and they all specialize in older cars nothing past 80's. I am determined to get the bags for my ride though, after talking the company.
