Wow![:-] you guys make me feel bad. The best I managed before the local track closed down was a 14.48 @ 98 mph. I see I've got almost a second to make up. Although, I do have to admit, I'm not the greatest driver, and that 14.48 was only my fourth pass down a track EVER. It was a 9/10's improvement over my first pass though. I went 15.3 - 15.0 - 14.9 - 14.4 bone stock on the 18" BFG's.
Would you mind posting that for us noobies? Or PM me.

#1 - forget 18", 19" or 20" tires. no way. you must have the stock 17" tires.
#2 - lower rear tires to about 20psi
#3 - raise front tires pressure to about 40psi
#4 - do a small burnout, skip the water box
#5 - i didn't take my spare tire out, or do any weight savings, but you could if you wanted to
#6 - make sure your engine is COLD. not 100% cold, but the needle should be close to the C...no more than 1/4 of the way to normal oper. temp
#7 - launch at about 2500 rpms, pretty much drop the clutch. you should get very minimal spin if you do it right
#8 - shift at redline, and powershift if you can...you know you are doing it right if you chirp 2nd, and slight chirp in 3rd.

I didn't bother messing with air pressures, because I had a 100 mile drive home after the racing and wasn't sure how far I'd have to go before I could find air. My car came with the 18" fanblades, so I'm SOL there. Drove around the water, quick scrub of the tires, then stage. I pulled the spare, but that was sit. my 14.48 actually came on the second run of two back-to-back, so the car was warm. I did a quick feather out of the clutch (not quite a drop, but close) from 2500, and spun just a second, and then hooked (2.20 60' time). Shifting at about 5800 rpm, I only needed to go through 3rd with the stock 3.31 rear gear.
Maybe I just need more practie, lol...
