I gap the HT0's at .028 but I always run at least 15 psi. I recommend for people running 12 or less psi to use a .032 gap.

PLStang - no way it evaporated. I didn't take pics but 7 of the 8 of mine were fried after driving to the track and making 1 pass.

I believe the necessary temp to melt (not evaporate) chromium alloy is 3465 degrees. I'm a little rusty on my metalurgy but I believe that is correct. Silver is like 1764 degrees. I'm just guessing the temp to "Evaporate" them is a little higher! I threw the BS flag at them!

Yeah, I've heard that crap before. JDM tried to claim I melted an inconel valve because the tune was too lean. I had to remind them that the entire block and heads would have been melted down to liquid before inconel would even begin to show signs of heat damage. Anmyway, another story...

Back on topic -

I told dex in the PM and I'll say it here. You want to gap the HTO plugs and you need a tool. Most guys buy this one from PMP for $24.00...

I gapped them to 35 thousandths using a 9/16 deep socket, aroofing nail, and a bench vise. Quite easy really.
