Odd question for the Saleen S/C crowd...
...kind of like my question for the Whipple people a few days ago. Just above the firewall, there's a black plastic "ledge". How close does the top of the Saleen Series VI supercharger come to the plastic ledge? In other words, what is the vertical distance/clearance between the two? Does the Saleenunit sit below, at the same level, or above this ledge, and by how much? Any help is again appreciated, so I can make the final determination on what will work with my oddball hood.
Thanks again!

Let me go look
You've got a scant 5mm from the back of the S/C to the 'lip' (the bottom of the plastic trim on the top of the firewall).
More concerning may be the Saleen at its highest point (where the lettering is) is a good few cms above this lip.
My S/C does not rub my stock hood liner but I'll bet it's a close thing. You might want to compare your new hood to the stocker clearance and that will probably yield your answer.

Yeah, that's what I was afraid of, it looks like the back of the blower is a little higher than the lowest point of the plastic ledge. Hmmm.
Thanks for the pics, dude, they're very helpful!

Looks like I'm going to go with either a Whipple or Kenne Bell; leaning towards a Whipple right now. Both of those sit lower than the Saleen, and have enough room to clear the back of my wacky hood. Sucks though, because I think the Saleen is aesthetically the best looking of the twin screw blowers.
