Why do you keep saying this? Yes a twin screw is always making boost, but it's not always being forced into the combustion chamber. If it were then you'd slam into someone trying to easy it out of first at a light. All superchargers use a bypass valve which bleeds off any boost until the valve closes. When the engine is under vacuum (it's allways under vacuum unless under WOT) the valve stays open. I believe the reason a TS makes boost instantly is because it doesn't vent it to the atmosphere like with a turbo and blowoff valve. I am no expert on the inner workings of a TS supercharger, but do a google search for bypass valve/twin screw and read up on it.

Well with a turbo DD you dont go into boost unless you want to get on it so some people think its more drivable. S/C is still fine for DDbut youre always building boost. I went with a turbo forDD reasons and i feltperformance was better but lets not beat THAT horse

I like my KB, but if you are only looking for around 400rwhp, either the Saleen or Roush would be my choice
