With our computer hooked up to monitor fuel economy, it will give an average and actual measurment. It is greatly lower on the actual when under heavy acceleration. Same as it is slightly lower when doing 70 mph compared to 80 mph. But then you have to factor in time. Yeah you will be using more fuel but for a smaller amount of time. I say it's funner to get on it.

I think that the main premise of the WOT theory is that it reduces pumping losses through the throttle, as there is much less resistance to flow when the blade is all the way open as compared to partially open. However, as most of you stated, real life does not agree with theory.

This would be fun trying to explain to the police as to why at every stop light you floor it on the take off. let us know how it works.
