Default Grinding noise

Need opinions,

I have been getting a wub-wub grinding like noise when driving. It increases with speed. I believe it is coming from one of the front wheels. I can really feel/hear it when going slow in parking lots, with or without pressing the brake pedal. I do not get any pulsation in the brake pedal or steering wheel, at slow or high speeds, and no pulsation in the pedal as I come to a stop. The noise of the car rolling up front has always been on the high side in my opinion andI had a little of this symptom before my suspension mods, but it seems to be increasing with time. I had an alignment done after the mods and things are dead on. It tracks straight.

At this point, my best guess is one of the wheel bearings or possibly a warped rotor. However, my experience has been with warped rotors that the symptom is more pedal and car pulsation at highway speed braking or when coming to a stop.

Any inputs welcome.

I've noticed the same noise on my 08. I just got the car and with 1500 miles, the grinding noise is getting louder. I also thought it would be brakes or bearings, since it sounds related to wheel speed, but now I'm suspecting the transmission. WhenI have a chance, I'm going to raise up the rear end and run the car and try to isolate the noise.

Yes,

It is a speed related rotational noise, which I am pretty sure is coming from the front wheels - could be bearings, rotors etc. I know there have been many with a whining/groaning/grinding noise from the back end due to the clutch packs in the differential. I have that in the summer at times too, but this is much different.

I've been working on cars all my life and have done just about a little of everything on them except a complete motor or transmission overhaul, so I'm pretty good at diagnosing problems. Its not the wheels out of round/ballance, since it happens at low and high speed and there is no steering wheel vibration at all. I'm really leaning toward bad wheel bearing, butthat wouldbe a little unusual.

Any other comments welcome.

hey i have of 07 vista blue gt and mine is doing the same thing. it sounds like it is coming form the from driver tire. itmostly does it when im driving hi speeds like 70 or 80 but i have heard it at about 40 or 50. we took a trip to dallas and it was very annoying the whole way there. im taking mine in to let them check it out because it i only have 2100 miles on it.

I had the same problem after I kissed a curb going sideways, and it turned out to be the wheel bearing in the front left. I took it to my wonderful local dealer and they diagnosed the problem and fixed it under warranty.
