Ive asked this before, but I just want to get it into raw numbers, whipple, saleen or another supercharger?

I voted for the whipple, but I really think it comes down to looks. The HO whipple kit and Saleen 475hp kit are almost the same price. The whipple looks like a more traditional blower while the saleen looks like the stock engine with an intake manifold cover installed. If going with the saleen I would get it from brenspeed.com.

Not true. Saleen doesn't allow any company to legally offer their supercharger for less than $5,129. If you call the company, they will almost always offer it for a lower price. This might be the same for the Whipple, but I doubt it. The whipple usually gives bigger gains but the Saleen is cheaper and looks better in my opinion. Both are great blowers

Not how I would spend my 5k. It looks like a pretty easy install, but it has a belt at the back of the compressor (atleast it looks that way) and another belt to worry about can't be good. Plus it's new so it's bound to have problems.

I'm not talking about the base saleen kit which doesn't come with half the things the whipple does nor near the power. The cheapest i've ever heard of the base kit selling for was $4k through underground mustangs, but like I said it comes with practically nothing except the blower, no injectors, no plugs, no intake.

The biggest selling point for the whipple compared to brenspeeds stage 2 kit is the fuel system and of course if you want to compare HP vs. HP you have to go with the stage 3 kit which is more than the whipple and still comes with a boost-a-pump. I've never used a boost-a-pump, but I don't like the idea of making the single stock pump work harder. The biggest selling point for any brenspeed upgraded saleen is his tunes and service after the sale.

I have found the base Saleen S/C for $3,500 brand new from a company. Injectors are 300-400, upgraded fuel pumps are what 500? Thats mid 4K's...I understand the whipple is more powerful but the Saleen really is cheaper

Do tell. You still need intake, tune, tuner, spark plugs, smaller pulley. The gt500 pumps are $600+. I've never heard of anyone getting a saleen that cheap.
