I chirp 1st, 2nd, and third. I spin for a few seconds in 2nd. You can't baby it and expect to chirp. The pony can take it.

Mygt500, do you have the bfg kdw2's 285/40/18's I'm getting ready to purchase some for the rear of my car and was wondering how well they hook with a S/C. Appreciate any responses from anyone that have these in this size. I'm also considering the Nittto's in the 285/40/18 555 series. Not the 555R's.

Thanks Howarmatt, right now I have 255/45/18's and basically just melt them thru 1st and most of 2nd unless I feather. 1st gear is basically a nano second long now before I have to shift. My buddy just got the Nitto 555R's which are the drag radial and he's hooking up really well now.

Reasons for my inability to chirp 2nd gear? (mods in my sig)

1- You just suck as a driver!
2- Brand new 285 KDW2 tires too grippy?
3- Loaded Brenspeed 93 tune wrong??
4- TCS off or on?
5- You just suck as a driver!
The tune isn't wrong - the tires are not to "grippy" - tcs on or off doesn't matter - You do not suck as a driver you just baby the car to much. Use thegas pedal more the car can take the abuse.

Listen to Howarmat...I have the 285/30/20's on mine the whole time I have owned the car and love the way they hooked before the S/C. After the S/C they are useless unless you warm them up considerably.

Traction is your friend. I wish mine wouldn't break.

1.63 60 footer is damn good, did you get that with the bfg kdw2's? Or are those the bfg drag radials?

Thats with some MT ET Streets. My street tires (BFG's) are lacking for the traction that I want.
