Reasons for my inability to chirp 2nd gear? (mods in my sig)

1- You just suck as a driver!
2- Brand new 285 KDW2 tires too grippy?
3- Loaded Brenspeed 93 tune wrong??
4- TCS off or on?
5- You just suck as a driver!

3- My god man...I can chirp 2nd with the stock tune, so if you can't chirp it with that tune, something sure is wrong.

Had you been able to chirp 2nd before the a) tires or b) tune?

Of course, I've got a manual. If you have an auto, then maybe that changes things...

if its a stick you should have no problem chirpin 2nd with the tcs on or off even with the new tires

I've got a stick... never been successful in chirping second, although laid good rubber in first. So it sounds like I just suck as a driver. Maybe I'm just babying the throttle too much in mid-shift?

with a stick you are just not shifting right, hold the clutch a little longer and then pop it while stomping on the gas and you should be able to do it.

thanks guys, seriously. So you're saying I'm letting the clutch out too slowly? This is my first stick car and I guess it just scares me a bit to let the clutch out so quickly at WOT.

No problem to chirp into second on mine!

1. Probable?
2. I have the same and they will in second even before the S/C and before that with stock tune.
3. Reload the tune and make sure you have 93 in tank
4. Should not matter asI have done it with or without the TCS on
5. What do you think......regardless whine her out to 6000+ RPMs and slam it into second....it should work!

I have the 3.31 gears on a completely stock car and I can get the back end to come out in 2nd on occasion and if I'm really hitting my shifts I can chirp 3rd too. So I don't see why you shouldn't be able to do it on a modded car.
