QUEST FOR 12'S
Hey everyone, its your pal miamistang2006. I just bought some early gifts for me to try to reach that 12 second all motor group. First thing was a spydershaft (Ron was real nice) today i bought m/t 275/40/17's for the rear mounted on stock gt wheels. im gona use 2 spare 17x4 spare rims with m&h front runner raduals 185/55/17 tires in the front. i also got steeda loweer and upper control arms. i have alreay bbk t/b, airraid intake, diablo dyno tuned, steeda crank pulley, hooker long tubes, borla stiger cat-back, 4.10 gears.So lets see, im going to the track on dec. 7 on a friday. im miami, fl but it should be cool weather.

all you need is dr's and a CAI/tune. thats all it takes to get this car solidly in the 12's. i got a 13.0 and ill be going back to get my 12 second timeslip sometime in the next few months to prove it. are you automatic or stick?
these cars are 12 second runners with a cai/tune and tires. easy.
practice, my friend. getting your 60' down is paramount. i really think if i got a 1.8 60', i could run a 12.8. brenspeed did it but they had the sidewall crunching slicks.

Please forgive my question, just asking for a lil insight here, is this really possible with only these mods? It sounds simple. I will have my GT soon and looking to hit the 12.'s.

what kind of times should someone expect with a CAI,exhaust,4:10,tune and slicks???
a 12 sec.(flat) daily driven GT and I am pretty much set lol.

it should be. i'm not the best driver on earth and i managed a 13 flat, and if i practiced i know i could muster 12's.
so if i added a couple minor things, like UDP's and an offroad midpipe, i think it'd be fair to say i could reach the 12.6x range.
