255s IMO will not hook well on in 2nd either.... I had them on my rear after my Vortech got installed.... spun like crazy on the 1-2 or a 3-2 downshift [:@]....... I went with some DRs....
I'm talking about flooring it in second at low rpms, not shifting into second at high rpms. If I started off in second my stock tires didn't spin untill about 4500rpms. I'm sure with 255/50/17 street tires I could spin all of 1st, 2nd and 3rd on 8lbs of boost If I wanted to. I'd be doing all of 20mph at the top of 3rd.
