I just received my C&L Street Intake and SCT Xcal 2 tuner with 87, 91, and 93 octane tunes for my 2007 Mustang GT from Brenspeed this week. I installed the intake earlier this evening and then went to load the 93 octane tune when I received an error. I plugged the tuner into the odbII port and selected Program Vehicle and selected the 93 octane tune. It then stated to 'Turn Key to On, Do NOT Start', so I turned the key to On. This message stayed on the screen for about 30 seconds until I got a new message stating 'POWERUP MSG TIMEOUT'. I can check for engine codes and view the factory strategy, but cannot load a tune. Could the tuner be bad? I'm going to call Brenspeed on Monday, but was wondering if anyone had this problem, or if anyone had a possible solution. Thanks. Ray

Hi Ray, Welcome to the Forum. First the obvious, did you have the key "off" when you first plugged the tuner into the Port.

ok, it's been awhile since i loaded
my sct xcal2 tune....

i do recall that mine timed out several times
before i finally got a successful upload....

i wouldn't be afraid of trying several times.....just
don't let your battery die (keep it charged, but keep
the charger off the battery during flashing)
