I know this is getting old...

RE: I know this is getting old...
I recently switched from Brenspeed 93 to 87 tune and it seems fine to me. It would be interesting to see some ETs or Dyno number showing the difference, I find it hard to believe it would be much. I have not however been keeping track of MPG...have to do that but I'm having a hard time getting my speedo set right after 4.10s and change in tires. I input the correct gear ratio and tire revs/mile but the speedo is off when I measure along the highway (over a long stretch), when the speedo shows 60 I'm actually doing about 58...just need to mess with it some more.
Also note that higher octane does not necessarily equate to "better" gas. Octane doesn't make gas any better...it simply makes it more difficult to detonate, thus allowing you to run higher compression, different timing and fuel mixtures. Running 93 in a stock tune (87) isn't doing anything except waisting a few extra dollars (assuming its a good brand like Exon, etc).
