Default Gear for turbo car

Now that I have my turbo I think I may need to go back to the stock 3.55 gear. I believe the 4.10 gear might be slowing me down off the line. Does anybody else have any experience with this?

I would think that longer gears in general would be better off with a turbo that made alot of power..I would imagine with all that power and a real short 1st it would do nothing but smoke the tires lol...

what kit ya got and how much power you putting down? I thought about the 60-1 turbonetics in the future but may just go with a supercharger instead..

I have a Hellion kit and its awesome 461rwhp 463rwtq at 7# of boost. It pulls like a freight train.

I actually picked up 4 tenths with my 4.10's, but I have the Mickey Thompsons to grab.

I have 4.10's now and would rather have something a little different. 3.73's probably.

Im running a stock bottom end. If you look at the dyno charts posted around the web you will see alot of guys are getting up to 510hp on a stock bottom end. I was told by a very honest and reliable source to keep it at no more than where Im at.

A turbo car will usually be faster with taller gears because it loads the turbo better to build boost. I have 3.73 gears in mine as I was originally going with a TS. I will see how everything works out but I might go down to a 3.55 or even back to the stock 3.31. I would recommend going back to the 3.55’s.

Go to 3.55s. Will build boost longer in each gear, which = faster times.
