I'm getting a new gearset while I'm at it. Once that ring gear comes out, you'll NEVER get it back in the same way again and they WILL make noise.

Oh, and you won't ned to add friction modifier afterwards since the Tru Trac is all gears inside.
Once my trutrac went in my gear whine was reduced significantly. After I installed the spydershaft my gear whine was reduced by 95%. But I still don't think my gearsetup is perfect yet. I still get some vibes around 95-105, more so onthe decel side.I've reduced it a bit adjusting the pinion angle, but I'm gonna have my gear setup checked again since I could have thrown it off installing the new pinion flange.

But as far as the trutrac, very good buy. Strong, quite and it grips.

Just so you know if you are under 600hp or so get the true-trac if you are over that get the locker. The locker is very very very aggresive, a tad to aggresive for my likes.

For those who haven't experienced this, can you explain more?

It will give you much more even power delivery side to side. Look at my video here, watch what happens on the second run with the TCS off! This should prevent that.

It will also help eliminate that annoying dendency for the rear of the car to kick out towards the drivers side if you lose traction on the launch. Ifixed it by adjusting by D-specs accordingly, but this will be just for good measure.

Well the locker is more 1/4 mile oriented than anything else. On some turns you will feel the stiffness of the differencial because it wont allow one wheel to turn faster than the other @ all. Somewhat like welded axels.

The only thing that will prevent that is some drag radials.

The tire traction isn't the point, it's the uneven power delivery.
