My car is paid off but I wouldn't have not modded it if it wasn't. Doesn't really matter to me. It's supposed to be enjoyed paid off or not IMO. I would definitely not do any serious engine rebuilding or anything major though but I see nothing wrong with throwing on a FI kit and bolt ons with a good tune while you're paying for it.

You guys still in school crack me up...lol

You want to talk about envy? My senior year in high school I had my own apartment - now that's 'status' in high school...lol

Geez, I still remember having bean bags for furniture and the keg and beer bong permanent in the kitchen - just the matresses on the floors in the bedroom. Yeah, it wasn't much, but it was a PALACE for high schoolers. I got more tail in that year than I probably will the rest of my life...lmao

Didn't have a stang back then though...

I have a modded Gt now that I'm paying for. My previous car was a nearly stock V6 Mustang that I paid off and drove for another 2 years. It was a better feeling having that thing paid off. I'll drive my 07 until it blow up because you just cant beat having another 500 in your pocket every month. In 4 more years I'll be paid off then I'll take that cash and sink it in some real performance stuffs.

I don't really care if my car is paid off or not. I'd rather have mods on it ! 550$ a month really doesn't bother me...right now I'm just living at home saving money though, so I could imagine it would get difficult if I had my own place as well. But with 0% APR and the car being paid off in 3 years, I'm thinking...why not mod...
