Default RE: Keeps getting worse and worse

Everyone is pointing to mechanical, but it sounds like an electrical problem somewhere.

engine light coming on. Later on i accelerated and my traction control came on, then the engine light started to blink meaning engine misfire and my car felt a little differently.
Check all the connections to your coils, make sure they are snug and clean. Do you know what code it threw to make the engine light come on?

This may be a looooong shot, but do you have alot of electrical gizmos in your car? May be something wrong with the alternator or the battery. Alternator may be going bad causing the strange electrical problems (yes, including misfires) and it maye of damaged the battery with the weird charging (not enough amps to cold crank). Take it to an autozone and have them hook it up to their battery/alternator tester. The alternator should be putting out 120 amps (i think). This happened to mine (my alternator was only puting out like 20 amps).

Edit: Come to think of it, it may not be a long shot after all. Check the alternator and let us know.
